Job search... without end
An Oxford degree doesn't equal a job. Actually, it might just make things harder!

A look at Oxford's MSc in Global Governance and Diplomacy programme from a former student. Little information is widely available on this new Oxford postgraduate degree, which began in 2006. It is my hope that by launching this blog, I can provide some of the information and advice I'd wished was available when I started my studies. GGD Blog welcomes your email and can even send you some materials on the programme.

hi,
I want to first thank you for the useful blog. as an applicant of the same programme, I found it to be extremely useful. With regards to the job hunt, i am very surprised but had been told that an Oxford degree could make getting a job really hard. would you mind sharing the types of jobs that you are pursuing? I would have thought it easier to get a job in the private sector and consultancy firms such as Mckinsey & Co or perhaps institutions such as the world bank? not so? also, your other classmates who were not diplomats, where have the ended up?
I am eagerly waiting the results of the March application
I'm guessing the economic crisis hasn't helped, but it has been *years* now LOL.
Oxford degree people have about a 1 in 100 chance of getting into the McKinsey/BCG/Bain world.
World Bank wants economists and PhDs.
My curse right now is being overqualified and lacking experience.
